About Me
Hi, I’m Suzannah Brothman (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). I’ve been a therapist since 2013, working with children, teens, and adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and mood disorders to name a few.
I know that starting therapy can feel daunting. It takes courage to face the unknown—and even more to share your story with someone new. That’s why I approach our work with warmth, a little humor, and deep respect for your lived experience. You’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to support you in finding clarity, confidence, and healing.
In sessions with me, you can expect a blend of insight, reflection, and the occasional dry wisecrack. I’m someone who can hold space for hard emotions, ask meaningful questions, and meet you wherever you are. I’ll also welcome your feedback throughout—therapy should feel collaborative and tailored to you.
My therapy style
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies to support your needs, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Psychodynamic Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)- trained
I’ll adapt our sessions to match your preferences. Want to bring in art or use worksheets? Great. Prefer a more conversational style? That works too. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll build from there.
Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered to move forward on your path.
